Snowdrop Project - read more here

The Snowdrop Project exists to ensure that no survivor of trafficking has to rebuild their life

alone. Last year we supported 124 survivors with the practical and emotional support they

needed to move on from the trauma of their past. Tackling trafficking cuts across many sectors: policing, local authority, public health, immigration, education, third sector, mental health. Necessary policy and practice change cannot happen in isolation. We are passionate about campaigning for fair and equal access (extracts taken from their website).

Transport T17 - read more here

Transport 17 provides group transport services to older and vulnerable people predominantly - but not exclusively - living in South West Sheffield who would otherwise be unable to leave home, thereby providing the opportunity for them to socialise in the local community. This reduces isolation, has a positive impact on their mental health, and improves their quality of life (extract taken from their website).

The charity operates 3 core services: 1. Provision of accessible transport for people with

limited mobility or other health conditions; 2. Supply of donated domestic and office furniture to raise income for charitable purposes; 3. Training and work experience for disadvantaged or unemployed individuals and to voluntary and community groups (extract taken from charity commission).

Grow is a youth development charity that works with young people in Sheffield. Many of the

young people we work with face mental health difficulties that have resulted in social

isolation and a lack of engagement in work or training prospects. At Grow, we combine

coaching with nature-based projects to help our trainees combat social isolation, boost their

wellbeing and develop employability skills (extract taken from their website).

Grow works with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people who face barriers when

seeking employment. Our approach focuses on the soft skills that are a key ingredient to

thriving at work, such as working well with others, handling conflict and managing personal

motivation. Grow runs programmes that combine coaching with nature based activity

(extract taken from Charity commission).

Sheffield Flourish - read more here

Sheffield Flourish is a charity that works collaboratively on innovative digital and community

projects, recognising the untapped strengths of people who’ve experienced mental health

challenges (extract taken from their website).

Sheffield Flourish aims to support the development of enterprising ideas, enabling them to

flourish into businesses that benefit well-being and can provide both volunteering and

employment opportunities for people with mental health conditions (extract taken from

charity commission).

All charities nominated are up to date with their submissions to The Charity Commission and look to be solvent at the time of printing.
