Roundup
Our March meeting was our AGM. Julia delivered the financial statement for the year ending in October 2023 and updated the accounts as of the beginning of March. After two years Julia is stepping down as Treasurer and Shelagh thanked her for the sterling service she has done in that time. We voted to continue to use the IFFE selected by the South Yorkshire Federation. Jan reported on the meetings and activities that we have done throughout the year. Debbie Kinsella was voted onto the committee to replace Julia as Treasurer, the rest of the committee were re-elected for the coming year. We all voted to continue to donate all of the raffle money and half the refreshments money to our chosen charity. Shelagh thanked each member of the committee for their contributions during the year. The committee was voted in for another year with the addition of a new Treasurer Debbie Kinsella. We ended the meeting with a free buffet and chat.

Book Group
The book we read was The Confession by Jessie Burton. The Confession was at best an easy read. Some people felt it was too long and was panned out. There were no likeable characters or characters that we warmed to. The ending was left a little vague as if the author was hoping to make a second book from the story. The book scored 5/10.
