About the Event
Tonight we will go and visit the team at Edale Mountain Rescue.
Edale Mountain Rescue Team (EMRT) operates in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire and is one of the busiest Mountain Rescue teams in the country. 2023 was the busiest year in the history of Edale Mountain Rescue. Team members were involved in 147 incidents throughout our operational area, which covers parts of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.
One of the volunteers will show us their base, the equipment they use and give a talk lasting about 90 minutes.
Edale Mountain Rescue is a charity that relies on donations to be able to continue the fabulous work they do . There is no official charge for this event but I am proposing a £10 per person donation on the night.
